The Gallery and Courtyard Garden

The gallery exhibits work by award-winning contemporary artists, jewellery designers, makers and fine crafts people from the United Kingdom and Ireland. The Saltbox Gallery & Workshop in Helmsley has been opened by Matthew and Louise Dwyer from North Yorkshire.

The gallery is located in Ryedale amidst the picturesque North Yorkshire Moors and close by to Duncombe Park, the historic Helmsley Castle and Helmsley Walled Garden. Located 25 miles from York & Scarborough, Leeds 50 miles.

Louise and Matthew are both makers and the work they select for exhibition at the gallery is hand crafted
and of a very high quality.

Types of work housed at the gallery include domestic pottery and salt-glazed ceramics, kiln and hand blown glass.
Paintings, etchings and prints, handwoven wall-hangings and scarves. Contemporary jewellery, wedding and engagement rings. Stone and metal sculpture for the interior and garden, hand forged metalwork such as candlesticks, coat hooks, brackets and gates.
